Saraki calls for collective effort in solving Nigeria's security challenges
The Senator representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, Dr. Bukola Saraki on Saturday called for collective effort of all Nigerians regardless of religion or background in solving the security problem facing the Country.
Saraki made this call in IIorin while speaking with newsmen immediately on his arrival from Abuja.
The Senator who was a former Governor of the state and All Progressives Congress Chieftain expressed sadness on killings in some parts of Nigeria and called on Nigerians to support the Government in finding a lasting solution to the security problem.
Saraki urged Nigereians not to play politics with issue of security, stating that more development will strive in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Ecology called on politicians to bury their political differences and join hands with the Federal Government in putting an end to killing of innocent people in Nigeria.
The Senator urged the people of the state to continue to have confidence in the ability of the administration to better their lots instead of looking for freedom elsewhere that does not exist.
He expressed happiness on the rousing reception accorded him from the IIorin International Airport by mammoth APC supporters in the state, describing it as unprecedented since he left as the Governor of the state. Saraki assured the people of the state that more dividends of democracy will be delivered to them in all spheres of development.
The Senator on arrival to IIorin paid a courtesy call on the Emir of IIorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari in company of mammoth crowd from the Airport.
