Press Release: APC Faults Kwara PDP on Gov. Ahmed's Administration, Says PDP is Party Of Falsehood.

Date: 2014-06-04

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said contrary to the falsehood propagated by opposition elements, the achievements of the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed-led administration are visible and impactful in the 16 local government areas of Kwara State.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party said with the profound feedback it got from Kwarans in the 16 LGAs of the state, Kwarans have endorsed the APC in the 2015 elections.

The fact that the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed led administration has being a responsible plus responsive government is no news to Kwarans; three years of shared prosperity, the achievements of the APC led government are visible and impactful in the 16LGAs in the state. Surprisingly, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party has seriously aggravated in its frustrations that it will say white is black and claim road doesn't exist where newly constructed road exist. We sympathise with them.

In Isanlu-Isin, home town of PDP Chairman, Mr Iyiola Oyedepo, the APC led government constructed the Isanlu Isin - Ijara Isin road. The Oke-Onigbin - Igbesi-Edidi road and Edidi - Alla road were built in the same area. In this same Isin LG, our government built a befitting office complex for National Programme on Immunization (NPI), did transformer projects at Iwo, Oke-Aba and Ijara-Isin, procured drugs and other facilities for the 22 Health Care centres in the area, offered scholarships to undergraduate, students at Nigerian Law School and post graduate studies, and the government has consistently offered periodic medical treatment to thousands of Kwarans in Isin LG on diabetes, tuberculosis, eye problem, high blood pressure and other ailments. Cooperative societies and artisans association in Isin LG have received about #100million from the APC led government, community roads like Kara Market - Oke-Iji road, Iji - Alla road, Alla - Odo Eku road, Odo Eku - Sabaja road, Sabaja - Pamo road, Owu - Kudu Owode road have all been made conducive to enhance agricultural and economic activities in the area. Isin LG has benefited from the massive youth employment and empowerment programme of the Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed led administration. Markets and various water projects were also constructed among others.

Recently, the royal father of Isanlu-Isin and chairman of Isin traditional council, HRM, Dr. Solomon Oloyede said the APC led government has recorded "huge successes" and the people of Isin land are "appreciative" to the APC led government. This is a testimony by the father of Isin Land.

In view of these established facts, when Mr Iyiola Oyedepo says the APC led government in Kwara State has no achievement except in the health sector, when the same government has been commended for service delivery by the royal father and the people of his community, Kwarans should know that something is wrong. Evidently, this man is out of touch with developments even in his communities. He may as well be a liability to his sinking party. The defeat of the PDP in the 2015 general elections has started from Mr chairman's town, Isanlu-Isin, Kwarans will reject the violent and inept PDP. Why has Mr Oyedepo refused to condemn a world renowned incompetent and corrupt government that his party runs at the centre? PDP will lose all elections in Kwara State because it has the capacity to domesticate corruption and incompetence in Kwara State

The profound feedback from the people of Kwara State about the APC led government is an endorsement of the APC in the 2015 general elections. These testimonials are antipodal with the verdict of Nigerians and world leaders that the PDP led federal government is clueless, incompetent and corrupt.
