An Ilorin Chief Magistrate' Court yesterday remanded Lateef Abudu, Idris Passka and Isiaka Lateef, all of Tasse village in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State for allegedly killing a Fulani herdsman, Adamu Abdullahi, while grazing his cattle.

The prosecutor said the case was transferred from Kaiama Division in Kwara to the Criminal Investigation Department, Ilorin.

The police First Information Report said on June 5, Mohammed Abdullahi reported at the station that his brother, Adamu Abdullahi, took his cattle out for grazing but that only the cattle returned home in the evening. He alleged that when he went in search of his brother, he discovered his corpse in a shallow grave in the farm of Lateef Abudu.

The accused were arraigned on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide. They however pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Mariam Magaji ordered the remand of the accused persons at Mandala Prison and adjourned the case till July 11, 2014.
