The promotion hopes of Kwara United received a massive blow as the players reportedly protested the non payment of their sign-on-fees during the team's trip to Kaduna today.

Sources close to SL10 at the scene, revealed that the players made their intentions clear as they stopped over in Minna to press for their claims.

Despite the intervention of officials of the club the journey was deadlocked at the Niger State Capital for some time.

It took series of pleas to the players from officials of the club before the journey could continue to Kaduna, where the team will be guests to Ranchers Bees in a week 30 Nigeria National League match.

The club management had promised to pay the players their outstanding dues, but couldn't meet up before the team travelled today (Thursday).

SL10 had a telephone conversation with an insider at the club, who said that the management is working to make sure that the boys are paid.
