Oke-Ero thanks Governor Saraki on Oko-Idofin-Igbana-Idofin-Odo-Ashe road
The Caucus in a letter of appreciation to the Governor, jointly endorsed by the Chairman and Secretary respectively, Hon. Taiye Ashaolu and Chief S.A. Obadimeji (JP), the party was full of praises to the State Chief Executive and overwhelmed for awarding contract for the construction of the 27km road stretch.
The road project, members observed, would facilitate easy transportation of their farm produce to the urban centres considering the fact that majority of their people are predominantly farmers.
Members expressed delight that the road project when completed, would open up the affected three wards in the district to other communities in the Local Government as well as the entire State.
"In the political history of the Local Government, Your Excellency will be the first Governor to give a firm commitment of delivery on this vital rural communication route. Beyond verbal and budgetary commitment, Your Excellency has gone several steps further by awarding the contract and mobilizing the contractors to site".
"We are very much aware that this particular road needs a huge capital outlay. For a Local Government of the size of ours to enjoy this high degree of affection and attention from your administration, there is surely some rare level of commitment from the side of Your Excellency indeed".
"Sir, please accept our token expression of gratitude from the Oke-Ero PDP Caucus on behalf of the Traditional Rulers, the men and women folks as well as the youths in all the communities of the local government", the letter contained.
The Caucus also thanked Dr Saraki for the township roads in Iloffa and Odo-Owa, Iloffa-Egosi-Aiyedun road as well as the construction of Odo-Owa Waterworks and other dividends of democracy spread across the ten wards of Oke-Ero Local Government.
Members of the Caucus, however, pledged the loyalty of their people to Dr Saraki’s leadership and administration to reciprocate his love for them.
It would be recalled that before now, the Oko-Idofin-Igbana-Idofin-Odo-Ase road had been in a deplorable condition for decades, which had caused untold hardship for the people of the area most especially during the raining season.
