KWSG approves reconstruction of Gure Bridge

The Kwara State Government has approved the total reconstruction of Gure Bridge in the Baruten Local Government of the state.

This was disclosed yesterday by the Permanent Secretary Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport, TPL Alabi Amida, while inspecting the on-going Ganmo-NTA network of road and Amule Bridge in Ilorin.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Ganiyu Atere said that TPL Amuda also highlighted some of the projects currently at various stages of completion which include Amule-Saraki Bridge and Dongi Bridge along Koro Isanlu road.

He thanked the state government for the current on-going rural road projects which cut-across the sixteen local governments.

Some of the roads are Ilofe-Erinmope, Ilofa-Oko, Egosi-Ipetu road all in the Oke-Ero Local Government, while Igbooba-Egudu, Ajengbe, Aworo-Osin boundary, Agbamu-Ajengbe-Igosun, Igbonl-Bayanga-Ipee and Agbamu-Omido in the Irepodun Local Government just to mention a few.

The aim of the administration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed is to improve the socio-economic activities of the affected areas.

The Permanent Secretary thanked the executive governor for the release of fund despite the tight financial situation of the state.

"The projects should be seen as their own and do all within their powers to protect the projects," he added.

Speaking at the Ganmo-NTA, a motorist Mr. Tunde Oluwanishola thanked the state government for the on-going project and sought the support of the people living in the area for the administration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.
