Kwara: 1,799 Pilgrims Screened for Hajj

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board on Tuesday said it had so far screened 1,799 intending

Pilgrims from the state for 2015 Hajj exercise.

Hajia Fatima Abolore-Jimoh, Executive Secretary of the board told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in llorin that 1, 931 applicants would be selected to fill the number allocated to the state.

Abolore-Jimoh said the screening would continue to allow more qualified intending pilgrims have opportunity for the pilgrimage.

She expressed satisfaction with the conduct of intending pilgrims who appeared for the screening.

Abolore-Jimoh said the board had perfected arrangement at Makkah and Medinah for successful pilgrims from the state.

The executive Secretary advised the intending pilgrims to always be prayerful and persevere before, during and after the holy trip.
