A car wash operator, Ganiyu AbdulKadir has died in an auto crash along Sobi road, Ilorin, Kwara state. Abdulkadir, who was said to have been given a Golf car with registration number 582AA by a client to wash,it was gathered drove the car without the knowledge of the owner to Sobi road where he was involved in an accident.<.p>

An eye witness who craved anonymity, said that the brake of the vehicle failed and in the process of controlling it, the vehicle hit an electricity pole, which made AbdulKadir to hit his head on the steering.

He died on the spot of the accident and the corpse has been deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Oke-Oyi.

The spokesman of the state police command, ASP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed that the victim, a car washer took the vehicle of his client without his consent to sobi road where he had an accident.

"The victim died instantly as a result of the accident and the body has been deposited at UITH", he said.
