The League Management Company (LMC) has once again certified the Kwara State Stadium to host league matches and international competitions.

It would be recalled that a team from the LMC had earlier inspected the stadium before the commencement of the Nigeria Professional Football League season and had given the arena a pass mark. The second team led by Elder Bode Oyewole however re-stamped the facilities, saying the arena is in good shape to host matches.

The areas inspected were the main bowl, the VIP cubicle, dressing rooms, media centre, mixed zone, the medical rooms and the club's secretariat. Speaking with journalists after the inspection, Oyewole, a former chairman of Shooting Stars of Ibadan commended the state government for upgrading the stadium to a world-class standard.

He said "Even a blind man will know that a good job has been done by the government of Kwara State for the stadium and for Kwara United Football Club. I'm so much impressed with what I've seen and can only pray that Kwara United go from strength to strength."
