Ember months: FRSC cautions motorists on safety
Kwara State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Sunday Maku, has warned motorists to exercise caution during these ember months so as to avoid crashes.
Maku, who made the call in Ilorin at the weekend, said, "let me first of all disabuse our minds from the issue of the ember months. The months are those ones that form the last quarter of the year and they are like other months of the year. What we have observed is that there is usually heightened volume of movements of traffic or human beings during this period. During this period, we notice that many people travel for different occasions". He said because of that increase in rate of vehicles during this period, the FRSC increases campaigns.
