Kwara to Create 12 Thousand Jobs

The Kwara state government has signed a 40 million dollar memorandum of understanding with a United State's company to build 10 thousand housing units in the state.

The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on media Dr Muyideen Akorede stated this while speaking on a breakfast show on UNILORIN 89.3FM, People's parliament

Akorede said the aim of the current administration is to make sure the people of the state have adequate electricity which will in turn create employment for the youths and reduce the cost of doing businesses in the state.

Akorede stated that the administration has been able to identify 60 sites where commercial agriculture initiative will be implemented so that farmers in the state will engage in full commercial farming.

He said the Kwara state governor has given approval for the establishment of an Agric hall, which will serve as a one stock shop so as to provide everything the people need to boost agriculture in the state.

Akorede stressed further that construction of roads, adequate health care delivery and creation of 12 thousand youth jobs will be some of the benefits of Kwarans under the administration of Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed.

The SSA explained that the new Kwara state logo is stating that peaceful environment, leading the way in commercial agriculture and with the natural resources that support tourism and agriculture.

He added that the green represents agriculture, the blue represents our tourist potentials and the red represents our pride, passion and royalty in Kwara State.

Akorede also advised Kwarans to take advantage of the several platforms the administration is creating to give feedback, because according to him this government believes in participatory governance.
