Political awareness movement gives kudos to KWHA
A political group called Ilorin East Political Awareness Movement has saluted the 8th Kwara state House of Assembly for its bold step taken against the illegal construction of filling stations in Ilorin metropolis.
A statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the movement, Alhaji Toyin Maimasa and Alhaji A.O Lawal respectively and made available to The Herald, described the action as "a manifestation of the novel ideas conceived by the members of the House of Assembly and pragmatic approach to sensitive issues". The statement further reads in part, "the movement indeed commends the efforts of the House for taking bold and critical action in protecting the lives and property of the good people of Kwara state.
"We are not in doubt of the integrity of each member of the current House of Assembly because they are men and women of purpose and vision who have demonstrated the native intelligence on most issues concerning the people of the state.
"We candidly commend the entire members for their unity and sense of purpose in tackling the serious issue of this nature. "We urge the House not to rest on her oars because the end will justify the means", the statement concluded.
