Saraki Gives Committee Two Weeks to Probe CCT Boss
Senate President Bukola Saraki yesterday gave the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public petitions two weeks to probe the chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Mr. Danladi Umar.
Saraki is facing a 13-count charge on false asset declaration while he was governor of Kwara State. Umar is presiding over Saraki's case at the CCT.
Saraki referred the case to the committee following a petition written by the Anti Corruption Network and signed by one Ajaso I. Ajaso.
The petition was brought to the Senate by Senator Ogba Joseph Obinna (PDP, Ebonyi Central) and it was laid during yesterday's sitting.
