Be Patient With PMB - Sheikh Habeebullah Al-Ilory
Nigerians have been urged to be patient with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its painstaking efforts to restore the lost glory of Nigeria. Renowned scholar and Mudiru-l- Markaz Arabic Institute, Agege, Lagos, Sheik Habeebullah Abdullahi Al-Ilory gave the advice in Ilorin, Kwara state.
Al-Ilory spoke at the wedding of Rofiat, daughter of the Chief Press Secretary to Kwara state governor, Alh Oba AbdulWahab.
The Islamic scholar noted that six months was not enough for Buhari to right the rot of the Peoples Democratic Party’s(PDP)16- year rule.
He said Nigerians needed to be patient to reap the benefits of the ‘change’ they voted for during the last general elections.
Al-Ilory also emphasised the need for Nigerians to support the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, noting that the contribution of the national assembly is crucial to the success of the executive arm of government.
He particularly enjoined the people of Ilorin to give Saraki maximum support ” because he(Saraki) is our ambassador in government. He has been tested and trusted and therefore deserves the support of all”.
He reminded them that this is the first time an Ilorin man will be opportuned to be the nation’s number 3rd man in the nation’s body polity.
At the state level, Al-Ilory urged the state government to continue to strive to make Kwarans comfortable.
He,however, advised the people of the state to show understanding over the financial status of the state government.
“In this period of economic downturn, both the government and the citizens must persevere and exercise patience until things are straightened out,”he counseled.
