Why Men Should Give Women Space in Governance - Makanjuola
A veteran broadcaster, Moji Makanjuola, has amplified the need for more opportunities for Nigerian women in running the affairs of the country.
Speaking in Ilorin yesterday, Makanjuola called for more involvement of women in politics.
She described Nigeria as a male-dominated society, despite the fact that women were many, capable and willing to contribute their quota to development.
She said tradition, culture and religion should not be used by men to dominate the political space, adding that few women that were given opportunity to serve have proved that they could do what men can do better.
"We, women in media, will be there for women in politics," she said.
