Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed will today perform the foundation laying of 1,000 housing units at Budo Osho New GRA, Ilorin, the state capital.

The project christened Maigida Housing Estate, which is a private, public partnership venture between the government and private developers is expected to provide housing for six thousands Kwarans.

This is coming barely days after the ground breaking foundation laying for the hub which would boost Kwara's property sector.

The first phase of the delivery of 1,000 units is made up of two and three fully detached bungalows and midwived by the State Ministry of Housing and Urban Development under the control of the Kwara Housing Corporation.

The first trench is expected to be completed and commissioned by May 29. Facilities to be provided include gate, security fence, good road network, water and power supply, recreational areas, shopping arcades, children play ground among others.

A facility management would be undertaken on completion by the State Housing Corporation and developers. The project is on a land size of about 50 hectares with all facilities that makes it a modern estate.
