I write to refute the smearing report on the person of the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture; Alhaji Lai Mohammed purportedly written by one Abdullahi Aiyelabegan and distributed over several social media platforms yesterday. The said report by a faceless author was posted on the Facebook by one Halimah Hassan.

I dissociate myself from the faceless author and the content of his or her report in its entirety.

My name is Aiyelabegan Kayode Abdul Goga and there is no one bearing Abdullahi Aiyelabegan in my family as the author was trying to claim to give credence to his or her divisive and libellous report.

I have high respect for the person of the honourable Minister and I would be the last person to play politics with reconcilable political situation that is capable of impeding the progress and development of our people and our state. The report is highly embarrassing and regrettable.

I hereby call on the youths across political platforms in the state to come together and forge a common front for the interest and development of our people and local communities.

I thank all my supporters, friends and families who attested to my person and political style in refuting this divisive report on my behalf.

As a system expert, I have investigated the faceless author and I have forgiven him. But he should please desist, to avoid a fire next time.
