Saraki dynasty to rule Kwara 80yrs

Date: 2017-02-23

Chairman Elders Forum (EF) of Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Suleiman Oba Bolanta has revealed that the Saraki dynasty will dominate the political leadership of the state for 80years in its first phase in accordance with a prophesy by some Senegalese saints during a visit to the West African country in 1977.

Bolanta while speaking with National Pilot on the issue, said the prophesy was approaching its half way mark after 38 years, adding that the family will continue to dominate the politics of the state for another 42years when the first phase will be completed.

According to him, before late Olusola Saraki began his political journey in the state, he commissioned three of them to visit Kaola, Senegal in 1977 on the issue.

He added that all what they were told about the Saraki dynasty in Senegal so far have come to pass, adding that irrespective of the challenges, the dominance of the dynasty in the state is never under any threat.

The former chairman of the Kwara State Fertiliser Distribution Company said some of the challenges encountered by the dynasty in the state recently were all part of the predictions.

He said no matter the efforts of the opposition, the plan and decree of God can never be altered, adding that the dynasty will continue to wax stronger in the state.

While commending the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki for keeping the spirit of the prophesy alive by reaching out to the grassroots and the downtrodden, Bolanta advised the aides of the former governor to ensure his kind gestures get to the right quarters.

"In 1977 Raheem Itaegba, Alhaji Saidu Obalowu Agarawu and myself were sent by the late Olusola Saraki to the town of Kaola in Senegal. Those that prophesied this were big scholars who were saints and were very close to Allah (SWT).

"What we brought back from Kaola was that Saraki will continue to rule the state for 80 years nonstop and there will be some challenges along the way. But it will only make the dynasty stronger. We can see the manifestation of that prophesy already. From the prediction, we have had 38 years if you count from 1979 when the dynasty began to rule in Kwara to date.

"In 1979 to 1983, it was Adamu Attah. In 1983 it was C.O Adebayo who lasted about three months but ended his government in 1983. Then Shaaba Lafiagi and Late Muhammed Lawal were all through the Saraki dynasty.

"It was continued by his son and now Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki before Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed took over, they were all beneficiaries of the Saraki dynasty. This is how it will continue until another 42 years to complete the 80 years prophesy.

"If there will be any change that will see the Saraki dynasty not producing the leadership of this state, that will be after 42years. Look at all the challenges the Saraki dynasty have experienced in the state, it will just come and later on be blown away like a wind.

"For those that are aggrieved and had left the dynasty, they better retrace their steps and for those that did not, we have all seen the consequences because they were angry for what God Has decreed, otherwise, they will just labour outside the dynasty for nothing," Bolanta added.

He advised those saddled with the responsibility of distributing food items and other materials provided by the Senate President against diversion while applauding Saraki for his developmental efforts throughout the state.
