ICPC Invites Moshood Mustapha over Contract Scam
The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) has invited the lawmaker representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency of Kwara State, Moshood Mustapha, to explain the mismanagement of the contracts he was awarded during the last administration.
He is to appear before the Acting Deputy Director, Investigation, ICPC Headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Geoffrey Anumue.
The invitation, signed by Mrs. Kuranga, reads: “In order to assist the commission in the investigation of a petition relating to corrupt practices, you are required to produce the following documents or certified true copies thereof, needed for the investigation of the alleged offence:
Relevant documents in respect of mandate 1 and 2 housing units in Ilorin.
Documents pertaining to the construction of Olofa Palace Road and
Documents relating to the Judges' Quarters in Ilorin.
Investigation showed that the contracts were awarded to Mustapha during the Bukola Saraki administration, which frowned at the shoddy job executed by the lawmaker. Saraki was said to have refused to inaugurate the projects before he left office. We learnt that Mustapha has approached Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed to review the contract to enable him complete the projects.
