Murder Prevalent in Kwara North - CP

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Aminu Pai-Sali, has said the current crime statistics in the state indicate that murder cases are prevalent in Kwara North especially among the Fulani youths.

He noted that illicit drugs and other substance abuse, cultism and unprovoked attacks are mostly common in Ilorin metropolis while farmer/herdsmen conflict was seemingly more in the Southern Zone of the State.

The commissioner, however, called on leaders in these communities to synergize with the police and to also come up with workable strategies to address the peculiar challenges.

The commissioner, who made call while parading 15 suspects for alleged involvement in various criminal activities in the state in the state, said the command would continue on it fight against criminality. He said the paraded suspects would be charged to court.

He said the current crime statistics in the state indicated that murder cases were prevalent in Kwara North especially among the Fulani youths.
