Following the nullification of election in Offa Local Government of Kwara State by the election petition tribunal, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the local government has said that unity of purpose and determination will help it reclaim the council area from the opposition.

It is recalled that Local Government Election Tribunal recently nullified the result of the January 11, 2011 in Offa LGA and ordered for a rerun.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the chairman of the PDP in the council area, Engineer Goke Rabiu, said that factors that ensured victory of ACN in the last chairmanship elections were no longer in favour of the opposition party.

Engineer Rabiu also said that chairmen of the council, with exception of few, had always come from the camp of the political icon of the state, Olusola Saraki, who he said is at present a leader of the PDP in the state.
