The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has tasked Kwarans, particularly the good people of Ilorin Emirate to sustain the peaceful conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state on Saturday's Governorship and State House of Assembly members elections.

A statement jointly signed by the National President of the Association, Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen and the National Publicity Officer, Alhaji Uthman Jagunma in Ilorin today Thursday 7th March, 2019, said the exercises is peaceful, credible, free and fair elections.

The statement also implored the electorates to shun electoral violence before during and after the exercises.

According to the statement, the presidential and National Assembly elections is devoid of violence, thuggery or snatching of ballot boxes.

The IEYDA said politics is not a do or die affairs but for the development of the country and called on politicians to see themselves as a family for the progress of the nation.

The statement therefore enjoined the eligible voters to come out en-mass to exercises their franchise by voting for the candidate of their choice on Saturday 9th March, 2019 and accept the out come of the exercises with good faith.

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association also advised the INEC to ensure that adequate materials are put in place for the successful conduct of the exercises.
