Kwara Govt Will Not Waiver in Completing Ongoing Projects, Says Media Aide

Date: 2012-09-26

Akorede, Senior Special Assistant to Kwara Governor on Media and Communication, on Wednesday assured that the government would not abandon ongoing capital projects in the state.

Femi said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin that the projects were meant to improve the well-being of the people..

"It is important that all Kwara people team up with the administration in the effort to transform the state into a model," he said, assuring that the government would complete the projects.

On workers salaries, Akorede said the workers were always paid on time, adding: "The Kwara State Government does not owe salaries of any of its workers.''

He also spoke on recent defection of some members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, saying politics is about choice.

"The so-called defectors from the PDP are individuals with doubtful political value, so as a PDP administration we are not losing any sleep over their defection," he added.
