The Executive Governor of Kwara state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the company of the Speaker, Kwara State House Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi visited Kwara State Hospitality and Tourism Development Board otherwise known as Tourist Kitchen.

The Governor and his team was taken around the facilities by the Director, Marketing and Promotion, Mrs. B. E Onietan who was on the ground during the visit to shed more light on the tourism potential of the state and how best the government could explore the untapped inherent potential in the state.

AbdulRazaq also visited the abandoned Owu Natural Waterfalls a few weeks ago, a national treasure described to be the highest in West Africa. He also toured the facilities at the site in a bid to revive the moribund tourist site that would create direct jobs for the teeming population and increase the revenue-generating capacity of the state.

AbdulRazaq decried the deplorable state of the site he said could be enlisted in the national and international tourists site, provided the huge opportunities are well harnessed. He reiterated his administration's readiness to tap the opportunities in the culture and tourism sector, use it as a tool for national integration and improve the fortunes of the state in the face of a dwindling economy.
