Muslims Urged to Follow in Prophet's Footsteps

Date: 2012-11-09

The chairman of the Kwara State branch of Nasrullahi-l-Fathi Society (NASFAT), Alhaji Sulyman Fagbemi, has admonished all Muslims to imbibe the exemplary life of Prophet Mohammed.

Alhaji Fagbemi gave the admonition at the fidau for the vice chairman of the Offa branch of NASFAT, the late Alhaji Abdul Azeez Ajiboye, held at his residence in Offa.

Fagbemi, who said that every soul shall die and be judged in the hereafter, paid tributes to the deceased who, he said, lived a life worthy of emulation.

He commended members of NASFAT in the town for their contributions to the burial and fidau of the deceased.

In his sermon, the Chief Missioner of the Kontagora branch of the group, Alhaji Jamiu, stressed the need for Muslims to always pursue goodness as everyone would reap what he sows.

He described the death of Alhaji Ajiboye as a loss to not only his family, but also the entire NASFAT family in Kwara State.

Alhaji Jamiu urged the family to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a purposeful life.

The Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Offa branch, Alhaji Shuab Abugba, who prayed for the family, said the group would miss the deceased, especially in view of his contributions to the development of the society.

In his remark, the chairman of the Offa branch, Prince, Allhaji Khalik Adegboye, described Ajiboye as dedicated, saying that his death had created a vacuum which would be difficult to fill.

He prayed God to grant him paradise and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Ajiboye, who was also the vice principal of Ansar-Ud-Deen College, Ipee, died at the age of 48.
