Oloriegbe loses return bid to Senate
Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe (Kwara Central) has lost his bid to return to the Senate in 2023.
Dr. Oloriegbe scored the least votes among the three All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants that participated in the senatorial primary in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The Turaki of Ilorin, Saliu Mustapha, scored 136 votes to emerge the winner of the election; business mogul, Yahaya Seriki, scored 78 votes; while 15 votes were recorded in favour of Oloriegbe.
In Kwara North, incumbent Senator Suleiman Umar scored 202 votes to coast home to victory, while his rival, Tauheed Toyin polled 75.
Also, Senator Issa Ashiru (Kwara South) got 158 votes to beat his closest opponent, Raheem Ajul?opin, who polled 154.
