S/Court ruling: Bukola Saraki congratulates Ahmed over victory
In a statement signed by his media aide and made available to journalists in Ilorin, on Tuesday, Senator Saraki, representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, described the Supreme Court’s judgment as a validation of the truth pursued by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the last election.
He also praised members of the panel for discharging their duties creditably, honestly and courageously, despite the propaganda of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
The chairman, Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, also said "this is a victory to all Kwarans that lined up at the polling centres, in the sun to vote for PDP and Governor Ahmed in the last general election. It is also a victory to democracy and rule of law."
The former governor also used the opportunity to call on all oppositions in the state to join hands with the state governor in moving the state forward, instead of spreading falsehood about the government or criticising the policies of the PDP-led government.
"All members of opposition are welcome. Our doors are open all hours for new members, because no any other party exist in Kwara outside PDP. All other parties in the state don’t have internal democracy like our party," he stated.
