Kwara Hospitals Board Inspects Borehole Project, Renovation Works at Cottage Hospital Adewole
The management of the Kwara State Hospitals Management Board undertook an on-site inspection visit to the ongoing borehole drilling project at Cottage Hospital Adewole as part of continued efforts to strengthen infrastructure, enhance water supply, and improve healthcare service delivery at the facility. The borehole project is expected to provide a more reliable and sustainable water source for the hospital, thereby supporting clinical services, sanitation, and overall patient care.
During the visit, the team, led by Dr Abdulraheem Malik, the Executive Secretary, also conducted a comprehensive inspection of the renovation and upgrade works carried out within the hospital premises.
The inspection focused on ensuring that the improvements align with the Board's commitment to creating a more functional, conducive, and patient-friendly healthcare environment.
As part of the facility reorganisation, staff offices and hospital departments were reassigned to improve workflow efficiency, enhance coordination among healthcare personnel, and ensure more effective utilisation of available spaces within the facility.
In addition, patient seating arrangements were reviewed and upgraded to provide greater comfort for patients and their relatives while accessing healthcare services. Service protocols and operational procedures were also assessed and strengthened to promote professionalism, reduce waiting times, and improve overall patient experience at the hospital.
The visit further reaffirmed the Board's commitment to continuous monitoring, infrastructure development, and quality improvement across healthcare facilities in the state, in line with the administration's vision of delivering accessible, efficient, and people-centred healthcare services.
