Danladi Vows to Sustain AbdulRazaq's Legacies, Promises More Development in Kwara
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kwara State, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has pledged to sustain the developmental strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and deliver more dividends of democracy to rural communities if elected in 2027.
Danladi made the pledge during the APC candidates' 'Thank You' visit to the Kwara Central Senatorial District, where the team paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.
The APC governorship candidate, who led other candidates to the Emir's palace, expressed appreciation to traditional and religious leaders, as well as party stakeholders, for their continued support for the party.
He assured the people that an APC administration under his leadership would build on the achievements recorded by the AbdulRazaq administration and ensure that development reaches more communities across the state.
Danladi also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as efforts to stabilise the country, expressing confidence that the President would secure a second term in office.
"The President has done a lot and, by His grace, his second term is assured for continuity of progress and development," he said.
He urged APC supporters to remain confident in the party, assuring them that the party's candidates would not disappoint the people if elected.
"You already know what your son, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has done for Ilorin West and Kwara State in general. What he is doing will never stop. You will not be disappointed for having SYD," Danladi said.
Also speaking, the APC candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Hon. Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya, expressed confidence that the party's candidates would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections.
Shagaya said Kwarans would not want to return to what he described as the past, urging residents to support the APC for continuity of development.
The Chairman of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority and an indigene of Asa, Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa, commended Danladi for providing legislative support to the AbdulRazaq administration.
Describing Danladi as a grassroots politician with electoral value, Alakawa said the governor's achievements were partly made possible by the support received from the legislative arm of government.
The Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, also highlighted some of the benefits recorded in Asa Local Government Area under the AbdulRazaq administration, particularly in education, roads, healthcare and social investment programmes.
A party elder in Asa, Alhaji Issa Amasa, commended Danladi's integrity, humility and competence, while urging him to remain accessible to the people if elected governor.
At the Emir's palace, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, who was represented by the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Dr. Usman Abubakar Atolagbe Jos, described the visit as a demonstration of respect for the traditional institution.
He prayed for the success of the APC candidates at the polls and for the successful completion of Governor AbdulRazaq's administration.
The District Head of Balah, Alhaji Kolapo Abdulkadir, who led other district heads from Asa Local Government Area to receive the APC delegation, also prayed for the electoral success of Danladi and the party's other candidates, pledging strong support for the APC.
