The authority of the Kwara State Polytechnic has debunked the rumour that the institution produces unclean sachet water.

Speaking withRoyal Timescorrespondent, the Public Relation Officer of the school, Mr. Abdulkadri Yunus, said the school cannot afford to produce unclean water, knowing the health implication.

Royal Times gathered that students of the school have earlier threatened violence, should other sachet water not be permitted on the school campus.

The PRO therefore advised students to avoid being used as instrument of destruction.

It would be recalled that the institution in a bid to increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) base, launched its sachet water product named ‘Kwarapoly Water’ into the market, while the school management barred other sachet water products from selling within the school community.

The Kwarapoly pure water industry was built inside the campus beside the Department of Hospitality Management.
