Oluwole Awolowo will be Sorely Missed - Saraki

The Senator representing Kwara Central, Senator Bukola Saraki, has described the late publisher of Tribune Newspapers, Chief Oluwole Awolowo has a strong family man that will be sorely missed.

Saraki in a statement said: "I am saddened by the painful demise of Chief Oluwole Awolowo, the Publisher/Vice-Chairman of African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc (ANN), publishers of the Tribune Newspapers and scion of the late Awolowo family who passed away on Wednesday 27 March 2013 at Wellington Hospital in St. John's Wood, London after a brief illness.

"Chief Oluwole was a strong family man renowned for his pivotal role as a father and grandfather in keeping the family ties together, a staunch evangelist who dedicated his life to serve God and humanity. He will be sorely missed by his followers, friends and family members.

"My sincere condolence is with the entire family, especially Mama, Chief (Mrs) H.I.D Awolowo. I pray that God comfort her in her old age and grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. "
