In a match which was played behind closed door after Rangers fans assaulted the referee when they drew at home to visiting Warri Wolves, Mohammed Adamu put the flying antelopes ahead 6th minute into the game when he headed in from a corner.

Dare Ojo however restored parity minutes into the second half.

Rangers came out smoking after the goal and showed character in the last 10 minutes and got the second goal in the 85th minute when Chinedu Sunday headed in from a corner kick. The Emordi boys scored their 3rd goal of the game in the 89 min via penalty after centre referee from Edo state adjudged Dare Ojo to have committed a foul. The penalty was converted by Oghogo Oduokpe.

Responding to the defeat, Kunle Awesu, a passionate Kwara United fan said the defeat of his darling team could be attributed to fatigue and low morale.

He said "The management of Kwara United were in Enugu but refused to show up and give the players motivation and concerns after the team spent 16 hours on the road from Ilorin to Enugu on Friday. The team bus broke down in a village in Kogi state and they spent 6 hours repairing it."

Kwara United dropped to 7th position while Enugu Rangers are now second on the log with 11pts behind defending champions Kano Pillars with 12pts

Kwara United's next game is on April 10th vs Newly promoted Nassarawa United.
