Kwara State Police command has paraded nine suspected armed robbers who allegedly vandalised the transformer in the Emir of Ilorin’s farm at Kanbi, Moro local government area of the State.

Items recovered from them include guns, charms and other dangerous weapons. Briefing newsmen at the Police headquarters, Ilorin, the State capital, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Saliu Garba represented by his Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Abdullahi Chafe said two suspects, Rufai Ibrahim and Hamza Suleiman were arrested in connection with vandalised of Emir’s farm transformer at Kanbi.

“On 412015 at about 2123hours, while policemen were on patrol at Kanbi area, two suspected thieves sighted the police and took to their heels. The Police pursued them and later discovered that the suspects had vandalised the transformer of Emir’s farm at Kanbi and left behind some items”, he explained.

The Police boss also disclosed that items recovered from them include three cable wires, two complete hark saw, three pairs of slippers, three shirts, face cap, a plier, a bottle with a round ball suspected to be mercury.

Garba who sought for voluntary information from the members of public said police are not resting on their oars with a view to ensuring that the State is free of criminals.

Other suspects arrested include one Isaak Olaitan, Umaru Amadu, Abdullahi Gani, Abu and Yahaya Ayanda who allegedly snatched Hummer bus at the gun point.
