Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has forwarded the name of Musa Abdullahi to the state House of Assembly as a commissioner nominee for screening and confirmation.

This was contained in the governor's message which was read at yesterday's plenary by the Speaker, Barrister Razak Atunwa.

The governor said nomination of Musa Abdullahi was in line with section 192 (1-5) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He said in selecting the nominee, he has taken due care to comply with the provisions of sub-section four of section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Speaker, Barrister Razak Atunwa asked the clerk to direct the nominee to submit all necessary documents by 12pm today and to appear for screening on Thursday, 26 of September, 2013.

Meanwhile, the Governor has approved the appointments of Barrister AbdulAzeez Ayodeji Ibrahim as Special Adviser Emergency and Relief Services; Engr. Seye Ogunbiyi as Special Adviser Budget Monitoring and Project Implementation; Mr. Goke Bamidele as Youth Empowerment Coordinator Oke-Ero LGA and AbdulRazaq Oba Bolanta as the Special Assistant, Rural Water Supply respectively.

According to a press release from the office of the Secretary to the State Government signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Hajia Idia Ameen, the appointments are with immediate effect.

The release stated that their appointments are based on their dedication, steadfastness, loyalty and good leadership qualities.
