Kwara Assembly Joins Forces with NBA to Achieve Judicial autonomy

Speaker of the Kwara House of Assembly, Rasaq Atunwa on Friday while receiving the Ilorin branch Executive Members of the Nigerian Bar Association in Ilorin, said the two bodies would collaborate to ensure total autonomy for the judiciary in the country.

He said that the move had become imperative to further strengthen democratic institutions in the country.

Atunwa explained that the nation's democratic institutions could only be strengthened when all the three arms of government were independent.

He also pledged the assembly's collaboration with the association to ensure quality legislation.
