President Jonathan Urged to Continue With Transformation Agenda
Special Adviser to President on Ethics and Values, Mrs Sarah Jubril, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to continue with transformation agenda to ensure electoral victory in 2015 general elections.
Jubril made the call at a rally organised by the Kwara chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilorin on Friday
Jubril assured the President of the unflinching support of members of the PDP in Kwara, adding that the party would win all elections in the state.
She said the president had the love and interest of the people at heart and would ensure that the dividends of democracy got to the grassroots.
Also addressing the rally, the Chairman of Caretaker Committee of PDP in the state, Mr Christopher Edoja, urged members to remain firm and loyal to the party.
He said; "President Jonathan and the PDP's National Working Committee under the leadership of Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu will soon visit us.
"We are committed to putting in place an egalitarian system where food will be available in abundance to all.
"Enough of the era of slavery. PDP has come to free the people of Kwara from the ruling dynasty of the Sarakis. Let us remain committed, focused and steadfast", Edoja said.
Edoja, however, stressed the need for the PDP leadership to carry all members along.
He said the leaders should endeavour to bury their differences in the interest of the party and most especially the victory of the party in the 2015 general elections. (NAN)
